What a lovely couple!
Here's our own DRUMBO counting the loot at the famous MAD CRABBER on Hatteras Island NC. That is his sweet and lovely wife beside him...keeping him straight.

What a wonderful surprise to open the post and see that beautiful photo of you! I reminds me of when you were in Boy Scouts and how proud I was of you way back then....just as I am today!
And, it also makes me very aware of how many times I should have emailed you photos Eric has taken with his digital camera. (So often we put off things we would like to do until it's too late and forgotten)
And now the memories begin to churn! My firstborn in 1949. And I didn't even know that I was expecting. Remember your Mom and Dad lived at your Grandmother "Minga"s house. We were on a long waiting list to get an apartment in the Dewey Complex. But your earliest days were at your Dad's Mom's. And as an infant your were surrounded by furnishings brought from Sweden. And, you were surrounded most of the time by all your relatives that made up the Bethany Lutheran Church in Elmira.
And just look at you. I am so proud of you!
When I came back it will be with a surprise. Hold your breath!
Maw

It's the only way I'll ever get to Hatteras and be part of your adventure!
