Took the RV down to Galveston Islnad State Park. Beautiful weekend for camping, should have taken a surfboard instead of rod and reel. The waves looked outstanding for Galveston, around 2-3 feet vertical with that north wind, standing straight up with spray off the top; I bet Freeport was great-probably had 4-5 footers-meanwhile back to what we came for...fishing the beachfront with squid and mullet....only had a few whiting and some nice croacker, not what we were hoping for with some bull reds or some big drum. But the weekend weather was fantastic, food & drink was good, and the company was outstanding so the weekend was a success even though no fish to brag about were caught...back to work monday-----eeeeewwwwwwww!!!!
