I'm looking at putting a set of Vance/Hines pipes on my 2006 Yamaha V-star Silverado, and was wondering if anyone had any contacts??? I'm planning on buying the pipes, jet kit, and air flow adapter. Just curious.

Also...I was looking to see how anyone with Vance/Hines pipes likes them?

are you planning on drag pipes or 2 into 1's?

LACox,

I put Vanes and Hines Long Shots on my Shadow along with the jet kit and K&N. I loved them, drove around town the first day then went home and took the baffles out. I liked them because they wouldn't turn blue. The chrome pieces next to the motor are actually covers, not the actual exhaust.

I ordered them through the Honda Dealership where I bought the bike. And they installed them for me. Call the closest Yamaha dealership.

Do a internet search on exhaust for your bike. I forgot what site I used to keep an eye on. But people would give feedback on different mod. parts and how they worked on their bikes. It also gave you an idea of your finished product before you spent the money on it. I'll try to find it for ya.

Awesome looking bike Brian. I just called Classic Cruisers and all they can get are the slip on Vance/Hines pipes. I'm new to this bike thing so suggestions are needed! I was wanting the drag pipes.

I would stick with a yammie dealer, so if you have problems they will fix it....

I got V&H on my Honda VTX 1800, I have the longshots and I luv um.... without baffels

Darrell...I took your advice about sticking with the place that I bought the bike from, and I'm glad I did. The 2006's that have been shipped out have all of the California emmisions **** on them, and have made it harder to put pipes on. Luckily they fit, but they are having problems with the 2006 650s. I went with the Cobra pipes, and have been very satisfied so far. Thanks for all of the advice. I'll have more questions I'm sure!
