email me and I'll forward you the brochure or contact Capt Chris directly
This is the letter I was sent
Hello All,
Brandon Backe of the Astros and his father, Harold, are holding a benefit fishing tournament for the Shriners Hospital in Galveston at the Yacht Basin, November 12th. All info is covered in the brochure. My wife works at Shriners with Harold so of course I got stuck with the task of making the brochure. The entry will primarily be used for the prize money. They are accepting gifts to be raffled or auctioned as well as cash donations from corporate sponsors. Any of you that can scratch out a donation would be appreciated. There will be room for banners along the fence line if you have one to hang.
There will be plenty of cold beer provided by Miller Beer in Galveston and food (Brandon is working on Landry's). The raffles will be $1, $5, and $10 and there will be a Live Auction. Brandon is trying to get one of the announcers of the Astros to be MC and Auctioneer.
Everyone is invited to attend the weigh-in and festivities. Adults will be charged $15 entry for Food and Beverages and Kids are $5. Tournament Entry is $65 including Food and Beverage. Please mail in entries ASAP. Mail in deadline is Nov 1. Live registration will be held up to tournament date 10am at the Yacht Basin Rental Office.
Any type of broadcast is very much appreciated, so forward this to anyone you know whether they fish or not, and if you think you have a sponsorship suggestion contact Harold Backe so that they can coordinate it through the proper channels.
Hope to see you there,
Capt. Chris Howard
