You wanna talk over doing it?????

Guess where I am????

OKC, OK.! Yup! All the way up here! LOL!

So here is the story, we took off, headed out 45N and ended up in Carthage, Tx. in 14 hours. Spent the night there only to wake up and find out Friday morning that the freakin storm was headed toward us and was expected to dump 18-24" of rain! Not wanting to deal with flood water, we gased up, loaded up, cancelled the hotel, and got new reservations in OKC - the closest place, West of us, that had any rooms available as well as GAS! Headed through Paris, up the Indian Nation Turn Pike toward Henryetta, and then cut across 40W to OKC.

We have turned this into a mini vacation. We have friends and family here and have already been out visiting today. Got the oil changed and am getting on-line just to update folks. Any way, we are going to wait out the mass re-entrance of all those heading back and may not start heading back till later in the week! Heck, I got customers here in OKC that I may end up heading over to their offices to work! Any way, family and all are good here! Thank God the storm was not terrible and that every one is in tact!!

Be blessed!!

Hopefully i will get to come home in a couple weeks but till them i have to go back to my chainsaw crew, we have to get this town working again and all the trees cleard off the roads...

LOL @ PD. We went to Huntsville Thursday morning. I know the back way, so I only spent 9 hours in the car and we were able to fill up before leaving Ft Bend County. Then the beotch took the hard right like you said, so I ended up more in it than I would have if I'd left. My parents and my mother in law both lost power due to downed trees. We're the first evacuees in history to be worse off AFTER the evacuation than they would have been if they'd stayed. H'ville was complete madness Friday and Sat, no gas, cars just dead up and down I-45 as far as you could see in bth directions, familes on the side of the road in 100 deg heat. We worked several shifts at one of the shelters this weekend. I got gas last night and came home this AM. How's everybody else? Tol would have been in it in Crosby, Kev may have gotten it pretty hard too. We have family in Huffman and Liberty, they had near 100 mph winds, won't have power for 3 to 4 weeks they've been told.

Well, we got home last night around 9:30 pm - 10 hours and 540 miles. Still got gas as close as Somerville, but after that it was empty gas stations until Chappell Hill and Hempstead. 290 was a bit packed, but rolling - seemed like a Holiday weekend. Any way, we are SO glad to be home!!

I just used the storm as an excuse to tell my girlfriend she needed to spend the night.Did,nt work out between her 4 dogs and my 4 dogs though.Bed was kinda crowded! Not much rain, but some good wind.I sat in the carport good part of the early am just watchin and listening.Found it quite relaxing..
One of our racers Scot Quintel is or was in Beamount. He was evacuated and told not to come back till further notice!! Does not no the condition of his home yet

I was worried about Scot. I saw he posted up on another site. At least he is ok. You can buy another house...............
