No can do. It's fall softball season so Sat AM starts are hosed for me through November or so.
I might be able to swing by. :D
Due to a low cash flow, I had to sit this one out. Sorry.

To bad dude we had a free day of racing.Just a few guys came out so we just ran practice and some 25 lap sprint races and talked about future ideas for mini scale racing
The chips idea sounds pretty good. Not sure about the lap vs. time thing though.
Ill explain why. Its not that Im against changing the traditional format of RC racing. I think running for laps insted of time is more like a "Sprint" insted of a "Marathon". What seperates the good racers from the very best is knowing how to conserve energy, using momentum and using the old adage about slow is fast. Very few races are won on the starting line, and those who show patience and fortitude are the eventual winners in a longer race. In allmost every form of RC racing, as with fishing, patience is important to being a better racer. Or angler, whatever. I would prefer two 10 minute qualifiers and a 12 minute main. I dont belive that would cause a battery war in Mini Zs since we all run the same batteries, but it would seperate those who drive too hard and dont maintain their cars from the rest of us. Of course, Im all about the fun, but when I race, I kinda like to put my head down and try to win.
Just my 2 pennies worth.
