I must apoligize yall. I havent been working overtime for 5 weeks straight which is highly unusal for me. Between that and the higher cost of gas, my checking account balance looks like Pamela Andersons IQ. The cover looks good, but dont open it. I seriously doubt I can pick up the food tab this time and am wondering if I can even make it out this time. Thats a decision Ill have to make later in the week. I know I promised to bring the food again, but I wouldnt count on it and I wanted to let yall know early so yall can change plans as needed.

Sorry. :(

No worries,I have no problem with pickin up the grub.I,m just tryin to get a feel for who,s coming out to judge what to buy.At this point it appears there is not much intrest in this event here or on THRC site.I,m not complaining at all but as I am releying(which I dislike) on internet feedback on this it does not look promising. Thanks trey

Thanks Trey. Ill do my best to be there if I have to count change. I dunno what the problem is. I cant post on the THRC site so its kinda hard for me to do the promote thing.

Plus, I dunno. :( The entire racing scene seems to be getting worse in Texas. I dont mean the Minis, just in general. I should prolly be posting this on the 2CRT thread I guess. Im burning out.

Not good bro. I'm real sorry to hear this, but I personally don't think that things are getting worse. You have to remember some things:

We just came off a holiday weekend that was preceeded by three major/national races in our region - people are tired and still recouping.
On the Mini side of the house, I think the PN National race is happening, happened or going to happen. Haven't been following it that closely, but I believe that has people's attention, time and money focused right now.
This should have probably been at the top of the list, but, we just had a MAJOR hurricane disturb not only the lives of our bretheren to the East of us but our lives as well. I don't think there is one person within the Houston and surrounding areas that is not focusing or working at doing something to assist our guest and survivors of the East.
With those 3 things we have to put things into perspective. Yeah, and just like Trey said, we have our highs and lows in R/C as well as personally. I think you are just feeling the crunch of work and lack of funds right now.

Don't be discouraged bro. You are doing what you can with what you got for right now. When things pick back up and you are back on top of your game you will be able to get in there and knock it out with the best of them! But for now, just chill out, get your head together and when you are ready get back at it.

Just be encouraged - things are not as they seem and even if they are, they will only improve over time!

Peace in da fleece!

Oh, Trey, sorry to step in on the thread. To comment as to it materializing or not......

You know my deal. I'd be there, but would show up more toward the end of the day and not so much the beginning. I'll just have to see what my schedule ends up panning out to look like - maybe volunteering again or just trying to spend some time with the family. Not sure yet so that is why I have not committed to things yet bro.

Don't worry though. Remember what I said above to Gary - some of that is applicable to why the response is low.

No doubt on all that and normally I would not be to concerned and set up the track anyways but right now I,ve got several other projects going on at the house and if I can spend my time getting them done I need to.I,ve been in my house about 8 years now and have never done anything to it so it needs some attention.

Yeah, looks like things are just slow all over right now. Trey, it doesn't look like it's going to be a big turnout, so factor that into your decision.

Ok well due to the obvious I,m gonna back out of this as graceful as possible. No worries I understand everyone has or is or will be doing their own thing as far as donations.I was just lookin for excuses to set up as usual.http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/wink.gif see you guys next Sat. Not everyone is single, and crazy and irresponsible as I am.I,ll just have to find away to live with it. maybe a good long bike ride in the trees or go up to the woods and burn up a couple gallons of 103 octane.

How about next weekends race we also have a collection aside from the race fees? Basically you pay what you normally pay and then on the side have a donations box that people can stuff cash in? Some thing like that. Sell some food at the race and that money also goes toward it? Just some thoughts to keep the spirit of what you were doing alive, regardless.
