After a few requesting members brought it to the TTMB board's attention, we thought it would be nice to have a TTMB Gathering in Southeast Texas this September 10th. I have descussed it with Mont and a few other locals about the location and we settled on Port Neches Park, located in Port Neches, TX. The park is nice and is located on the Port Neches River a few miles upstream of Sabine Lake.
It would be good to start the TTMB festivities around noon. Leaving the morning to fishing of course. Myself and others will start showing up around 10:30-11:00 am setting up Gas/Wood/Charcoal Grills, and tables if necesary.
I know there has been other Gatherings on Sabine Lake and many in the Houston area. So if I'm leaving something out or if you can think of anything us locals need to do please feel free to post up. I know of several Houston area members and Louisiana members are looking forward to coming.
I put together a small arial of the park. You can get directions to the park from yahoo,mapquest, or your favorite internet mapping site. Google Earth arials of the area are not the best quality.

We'd also like to let everyone know there will be a silent Auction the day of the Gathering to help out the Hurricane Victoms. So far we have some good items donated and I'm working on some more. All proceeds will be donated to the Katrina Hurricane Relief Fund.
Donated/Auction Items Include:
- Laguna Rod
- Billystix Custom Rod
- Capt. Chris Martin - One day fishing trip for 3 anglers(artificial only)
- Cut Rate Sporting Good sent 12 of the hard to find FLW Super Spooks
- GoingCoastal - Wade belt and stringer
- Capt. Danny Neu - One day(during the week), 2 Anglers(artificial only), Port Mansfield, TX
- Capt. Mike McBride - One day wadefishing, 4 Anglers(artificial only)
We also plan on cleaning up trash on Stewt's Island after fishing but before heading into the park. This shouldn't take too long if there are several of us.
Come out and enjoy a day of fishing and friends. And lets help out!
