I think some of y'all used to race this car. How do I gear this thing? If I go to anything smaller than a 25T pinion the spur and pinion won't even come in contact. I'm using the aluminum motor mount and you can only move the motor so far. I've never run electric on-road so I don't know where to gear it, but I assumed you'd change pinion sizes as you went down on the winds. What am I missing?

Never mind, I got it figured out. Man, this on-road flashlight stuff is different.

Are you going to make it out this weekend to run at mikes?

Negative. Doesn't look like any racing for me at all this weekend. Either next weekend or the one after I'm going to try to run Mike's in the morning then head over to K&M for some offroad.

Next weekend, not one will be runing electric at Mikes, they will be hosting the Southwest Series that weekend.
Chris, for top speed, I used to switch the spur to the pinion with a 6x1 and run a double pack. LOL
Dude I loved the Yok. You take any pics?

LOL. Nah, no pics yet. I actually finished putting Alyssa's car together last night, just need to figure out the best way to route the wires. We're gonna test drive it today. Still need a speedo for mine. Heard from Horizon, they can't fix the V-8. They were willing to sell me one of the new GM (like SX-6) for ONLY $70. Which is a joke, b/c I'd be going from the V-8 w/ it's low on-resistance and no motor limit to a speedo with higher resistance and a 12T limit. Yeah, sounds comparable to me. Gonna call today and see what they'll do.

Biff, you were right. Great handling car, it's sure not going to hold my awesome skilz back any. We ran Alyssa's around in the street a little. The drivetrain is binding, I think it needs a new belt 'cause everything else checks out.

The completed one is Alyssa's. Hers is the pro version, but I set it up with a front spool and shiny CVD's. At least on the rear, one of the bones was broken in front and I need to order new ones. Binding problem is fixed. I put that old Lightspeed 20 x 3 in it and it runs great. Yeah I know I need to shorten the wires, just haven't gotten to it yet. Captain Ron and I had several adult beverages Sunday and took it for a drive in the street, it's sweet. Mine is the WC replica with all graphite parts, the front and center one-ways and Al CVD bones. Just got my new speedo yesterday, so depending on time I might get to test it in a day or two. Sorry about the pic quality, I don't have Mongo's camera or his eye. The spare's available if you ever want to race it. Kev has dibs Labor Day weekend if he can get a hall pass, ha ha ha.

Cool.
Nice looking setups CJ!
As for the 3rd, I'm still up in the air - we'll have to see what happens.
