Conroe

I have been fishing Conroe for a while and I thought it was weird how one day you catch 20 cats and three days later in the same spot you catch 1 or 2 cats.

I will go out on Lake Conroe and pull up at a spot that I've caught tons of fish before and not caught a thing.

Also I've been out on the lake and someone pull up next to me within 30 ft. and start catching them like crazy and myself not catching a thing, and sometimes opposite.

You gotta remember that catfish will move according to water temps and bait.

You gotta keep moving with them.

What is the proper Temp. for catfish and how do you find out what temp. the water is at your depth that your fishing in?

Good question and to be honest with you I dont know the temps. I just know that they are like every other fish and when the temps change they move to different depths. What I do is look for baitfish on my fish finder. If you find bait the fish wont be far from there. Look for drop offs and channels as well. Conroe is full of catfish and you will catch them but like I said you have to keep moving til you find them.
