Just got back from the banquet here in italy, and there it was told to all the drivers that after a long 19 years of racing, 6 years with Associated and 7 with Losi, the 2 time world champ winner 1995 and 2002, Matt Francis is offically hanging up the controler, "i have come to a point where i have decied that i need to move on, pass the torch on"

Matt will no longer be racing off-road, but he will still do a little on-road (a few events here and there)

He will be sorly missed in the RC community. He has been one of the major embasitors of the RC industry in the past couple of decades.

I knew he was pretty bummed about not making the 4wd A there in Italy. Im sure it was even worse after he didnt make it in 2wd either. Hate to see him go but hes definately been an asset to the hobby. He will be missed at the track.

To be on the box, you have to have won a W.C....so Todd probably won't be there. (The exception is the Adam Drake kit...there is no W.C. for 1/10th Gas, so ROAR Nationals is a sub.)

I would say they will just bump Dirtinator to both boxes, or keep the tradition and still name it the MF3 MF4. Or just go back to naming it with the T until another champion come's along that dominates and wins an IFMAR title.

I would say that Peanut has a better chance of being on that box than Todd will. Todd is an on-road guru..his off-roading electric days are well behind Mr. Hodgimoto!
