Guys,

I just replaced the commutator on a Trinity Chameleon 2 nineteen turn motor and now it runs backwards. I checked my motor connections and the positive wire is on the positive tab and the negative wire on the negative tab. As far as I can tell the brush hood can only be installed one way on this motor. As far as I know the only difference between the new comm and the old one is that the new one is the "pro" version and the motor was not the pro version. I also mounted another motor and that one runs okay.

I guess one question I have is whether I run the risk of damaging the motor or more importantly my speed control if I solder my positive wire on the negative tab of the motor and the negative wire on the positive tab to get it ti run right.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Jose

We,ll i,ve done the same thing but i can,t remember the fix.Seems like when I did that I had the endbell on 180 degrees off so I just turned it around but on the motor you have there is a tab that keeps this from happening?????? right.Comm could be made wrong compare it to the old one. Radio switching, is your throttle servo reversed in the radio.Thats always a popular one.

It will not hurt anything to run it that way. I had a 15 turn motor that I replaced the arm in and it did the exact same thing. I wired it backwards and it ran just fine. Was one of my favorite motors I've ever had actually.

they have two different arms. one is the crosswrap and im not sure about the other one. But Im pretty sure its the crosswrap arm that will run backwards unless its in the right can.
