was wondering if there were any other board members who fish east/south east ohio for flatheads, i have a few good spots on some of the lakes around here, and a few more i want to check out, we use big goldfish and bullheads when its this warm, because they don't seem to die as fast as gills do. there on spawn now (ending soon i believe) just thought id drop a thread see if there were any others close that like to fish for these brutes as much as i do. here are some pics of a few i've got from some local lakes. ALL were released unharmed back to the water after pics were taken, burns me up when one of these magnificent animals are caught then paraded around for hours till there dead, (sorry for the rant)

I fish Eastern Ohio and have had some success with flathead.

It takes some patience but the big brutes can be landed.

I catch my flats on various live baits but have tried using bullhead over 80 times without the first bite on them.

I also release the flathead to grow, spawn, and fight again.

I also have video of many large catfish that you can see at:
