I dunno......I've been workin' OT out the ying-yang.Last weekend I was off(July 4)and was not about to step into that stream of traffic to fish!!!Just rested up and watched the 'kinis go by the deck!I'm leavin' Friday mornin' for Hatteras,to kick it for a few days.Got an offshore Gulfstream trip Monday......lookin' for the man in the blue suit(marlin)and Mahi(killa eatin' )........will prolly hit the piers at least one night, also. Then, when I get back to the lake,I'll still have off 5-6 days......to hit some fat cats. Will give a report when I get back.

My son, myself, a buddy , two of his friends and all their youngins jugged Conroe a couple weekends ago.

I believe the final tally was just over ninety fish. The fellas were having a fry to benefit less fortunate youths and all the fish was cooked up the next day.

We had two boats running lines. We would take a crew out, run jugs, bring them back to the dock, grab a fresh crew and go it all over again.

My buddy tossed out a bunch of single hook noodles right up against the bulkheads. Chased down two of them noodles that had +30 pounders attached. He said that was lots of fun...I know it was! Sorry no pics, batteries were dead in his camera.

My bunch boated a 25#, 18#, 15# and a couple around 10#

My buddy was using beef heart and I was using menhaden left over from an earlier saltwater adventure. Them blues luv 'em some saltwater shad...hehehe...

Hard to say who had more fun, them youngins running jugs or me watching them youngins run jugs...hahaha...a good time was had by all.

I haven't done well up north in a while so I figured we'd go where I thought we could get on some fish for the benefit fish fry. I love it when a plan comes together...hahaha...Actually I sent my buddy to an area we were catching fish at a few weeks back and I fished some new spots. My fish liar was/is in the shop so I was dropping 'em blind. I'd rather be lucky than good anyday...hahaha...

I 'magine we'll be back up that way Friday 7-15-05 night. Can you make it?

Yep, I been hearing decent reports out of east and Trinity.

Don't let the wife hear this but we're gettin' after them croaker tonight...shhhhhhhh...hahaha...headed to the spillway to hopefully wrestle a few bull reds, box a trout or two and hopefully some croakers.

You guys been salty here lately?

We wore out the croaker!

My son caught one 20" red and one 20" spec. My buddy caught eight nice trout.

We put in at Gou Hole. My partner went in a little earlier than I did and he said it was an adventure getting in at low tide...hahaha...

When we came in you couldn't idle across the flats but "The Craft" had more than enough water to make it in on plane.
