I guess I got back into racing at the wrong time. K&M is struggling, Redstick is done, and there are so few racers it doesnt seem to end. Time to open some beer and remeber the good times.

Get an 1/8th and you'll be racing with a lot of different guys again Jason. Everybody races nitro in Houston now. I'm hoping that Mike's picks things up for the onroad.

Mini Zs are doing pretty good. No doubt some of you guys think they may be ghetto. Thats cool. Spend $2000 for a car, I dont care. LMAO! I bought my car with radio for $120. Added about $150 in bling and Im set. I can race indoors in the AC and a set of $8 tires last a couple of weeks. A hot motor like Speedy 05 costs $10. These cars actually handle very well, are a blast to race and easy to maintain. Theres no shortage of competetion either. Im having a hard time making the A.

it's all about Freedom and LOVE of this hobby! Still, Houston is big enough to cover all parts with great attendance. It just takes getting the word out. Family sports, Ain't NOBODY that doesn't enjoy car races, of all sizes.
Old ideas that need to be brought back up. Flyers for windshields , cost minimal. Radio, TV advertizing, costs are HUGE! Word of mouth, If you enjoy this hobby, TELL EVERYONE.
WE CAN DO IT! Again. :D
You got a point bro. At one time Houston was well known around the country as the place to race.

jason, you would love 1/8. except for the car getting so dirty. but im sure yours would still be clean. we already turned ronnie into a gas hole, now its your turn!
But like Biggy suggested, we need get to work and grow the hobby. My priorites are inline with MiniZs right now and thats what I plan to focus on. If yall need my help, speak up. I have opened the door and got some discussion going with Matt Francis on TTT. I would suggest feeding on what has been started and take it further. I wouldnt hijack his thread though, be carefull how yall word what you want to say. Dont come accross as a whiner, but as someone who is taking the lead and going up top.
In the mean time, Im happy to help when I can. But my focus is on Onroad, and mostly the MiniZ racing scene. I hope to help grow that segment of racing.

Ronnie, you still up for some nitro on the 16th? Looks like only 2 of the LA crowd wont be there, Hal out of town and brian will be doing a b-day party for his nephew I think. Let me know if you still wanting to go, they are going to be starting at just after noon. If you talk with Roger and see if he wants to go too, they are welcome as well, I am going to call Jim wednesday to see if he is up for it or if he will be staying to run the THRC race.
