I dont know if that post surfaced or what but it was pretty old ! I have since bought a lathe..........
Cool! I havent looked at that section for awhile and didnt catch it was an old post. Im thinking I might need the lath in the future anyhoo. I just saw the pics of the new onroad track off 59. I suddenly got the urge for 1/12th scale. :)

Yeah, you think 1/12th til you see that track in person. Way too big for 1/12th in my opinion.
Is it? Dang. I dont want to get back into the expense of TCs again.

OK, I just read they'll make it smaller for electric. I don't think it needs to be smaller for the sedans but for 1/12th I would make it smaller.

I didn't get out there with a tape measure but from what I remember I would estimate it to be around 200 ft. long.
Two speed nitro would be the fun class then.

I ran my TC with a mod motor(thanks again Kevin) out there yesterday and the track is perfect.

Cool, not a problem Eric. Is the track bad on tires?

Granted I havent seen it up close yet, but its probably to early to make an accurate judgement call yet.

My tires didnt show any wear but thats because I use rubber tires. I'll ask one of the guys who was running foams with their nitro car. But I wouldnt think the track would be that hard on foams for 12th scale. It should be alot easier on tires compared to lunatic.

Well I was talking about rubber tires, because it seems like everytime I raced TCs in the past (only a few) you had to buy a new set every race day.

Your tires should last out there. The only tires that didnt last very long for me or pretty much anybody else are the Take Off pre mounts(CS 27's) because the rims are brittle and the center breaks away from the rims.......But as far as wear they should last awhile if you have the right temp range and insert.
