Have y'all missed me yet? Got lost on the Lake....that or in Missouri. I think I finally got some pic on this thing to show ya. Girlfriend caught the one she's holding on 6/21/05 as we were fighting on how to drive the boat while trolling for white bass. She somehow thinks she's the captain. Anyway, she landed one that was 4 1/2 lbs, 24 inches long. Not bad......I had about an hour to kill on Monday 6/27/05..so thought i would troll around the lake maybe catch a white bass or two....might really get lucky and catch a cutie on a dock. Thought I got hooked on bottom when I pulled in this cat. 26 inches long, 6 lbs. Back in the dog house again.

It's hard to tell how many whites you caught. So how many were there and did you catch them all trolling? Were you using hellbenders with the little yellow or white spoons? Oh, and what part of the lake did you catch them? Road bed? Dam? Or upper side?
Just curious......

Seahunt.... I ve been catching about 10 to 15 white bass in about a hour or 2. I ve got about 3 favorite places to go. The first being at Walkers lake.....if you know where that is go to the pink marker on a stump....go straight out from it about 20 yards....(like headed for indain hills marine) there a drop off there that goes from 15 ft to 33 ft. You can troll out in that area. Caught the shad working there the other day and picked up some really big white bass. The next place is about 100 yards north of that. What I do is ...where the pink marker is there is another stump north of the pink one (they are on a channel) line the two stumps up (pink marker & other stump) and head directly north from them (like going to big 190 bridge) about 100 yards out there is another drop off. Goes from 34 ft to 15 ft. I always catch some white bass there. Now that its getting really hot..I ve got another place... I come out of penwaugh marine area....there are two points from coves in that area....the first is by indian hills area.....(there is a brick house with brick walls and shurbs made into the walls...really nice landscaping). Around that point there is a drop off that goes from 30 ft to 52 ft. Its about 50 yards north of the brick home. Also on the other side of that point from the brick home is a blue house on the east side of that point all in that area is a good place to troll. I think I am going to set a trot line in the area that has 50 ft of water. Here's some pics of the white bass and finally I got a pic of me...if you see me out on the water hollier at me and we'll see if we can find the white bass. I am in a deck boat with tow bar in back. Hope to see y'all out there.....helldons with pet spoons ( i like to use silver cast masters that look like a mini silver spoons). I am thinkin about trailing the helldon with 2 silver spoons, c if i can pick up two at a time. The 26 inch cat hit the silver cast master. I have a lake house behind penwaugh marine so if you are heading for the lake let me know. If you send me an email I can pick it up from my phone maybe we'll run into each other. bueyescowboy@yahoo.com

Man, I really appreciate all the info. I grew up catching white bass with my grandparents who had a lake house in the indian hills area. We use to launch at the free public ramp at the end of old 190. Some times over by what they use to call Franks Marina. I know exactly where Walker's Lake is located. Right in the middle of the lake. Lots of trees in the area. Good area for cats too. Have you seen many schools as of late? I personally have not had the pleasure in running into one for several years.
Do you ever go towards Pine Island? We used to catch big whites and stripers in that area.
Next time I head down I will defiinitely send an email your way.

Oh yea...it is Franks Marina.....I forget...but the pink marker is almost straight east from Franks Marina. I generally come out of Penwaugh so I haven't gotten to pine island but I am sure as it gets hotter the fish will go deeper and I'll get down that way. The brick house is around the point to the north of Franks marina then head towards penwaugh or follow the land. you'll see the brick house. I'll look for ya.
