PUt in at scotts ridge around 9am. Fished until 1:30pm. Used liver on the bottom in 15' of water around tree's. Also set out 3 jug lines, 4 hooks each. Alternated live perch and liver on all 3 jugs. Ended up catching 3 keeper cats on rod n reel and 3 keepers from the jugs. Caught a few more right around 12" that I let go. Had a lot of fun. I've got my routine down already. I have one of those orange markers you can drop in the water. I tied a bag of chum to it and lowered it down near some tree's. Paddled off and set out my 3 jug lines. Came back and tied up next to the marker and caught my catfish straight down. Every hour or so I'd go check the jugs and rebait them.

And the proud papa shot! My son (3yrs) saw the fish when I was getting ready to clean them and said, " I want to hold one!" I said, "Which one?" He replies, "The big one!" Held it like a champ. LOL!

 When I was putting in there was a WARNING sign at the boat ramp saying they recently treated the water vegetation with some chemical. It said not to eat fish until 6/13/05. Today was the 15th. Are these fish REALLY o.k. to eat...LOL....any of you conroe guys seen this before. I don't fish the lake very often and was wondering if this occurs often or not.

Great pics,man......your son looks like a catman in the makin'!The lake I live on(here in Va.)has a hydrilla infestation, and they spray a coupla times a year in some areas.I think the fish either clear out of the sprayed weeds or become less active.I'm sure they're ok,in normal amounts.

Hey Stringer, looks Like A Good Meal.take Some Addvice, take That Picture Of Your Son And Enlarge It And Frame That .those Are Invalvable. I Had A Video Of My Son Fighting A 28lb Blue And It Was Wonderful ,until, I Messed Around Lastweek And Taped Over It By Mistake During Vacation.that Photo Of Your Son Would Look Great In Black And White, give It That "way Back" Appeal. Nice Catch

The fish are fine. They do that as a Cover thier behind type thing. This is in parts per million. They fish were more than likely fine on the 13th, but to be safe they gave a couple of days extra. Nice Pictures and he loooks like he had a blast.

The fish were probably fine on the same day they did the treatment. As others have said, it's a CYA thing.

A couple days is cutting it too close. You can do like Medulla and give half of them to old people in the neighborhood. If they don't get sick the rest are probably fine.

Hey medulla you fishing Conroe this weekend. The wife and son are planning fishing the powerline up Little Creek Saturday night. And I'm planning on hooking up with Randy Saturday night.

Whenever the wife and I fish seperate boats at the same time its always a hoot. Neither one is willing to loose. My biggest problem is that she fishes that spot that seems to always produce.

Anyway I got my secret weapon.
