Unfortuneately life and the water schedule from the TVA (Tenn. Valley Authority) have not allowed to much productive fishing this year ... Here is a picture of a flathead I caught a few weeks ago -- It was 22# , I was on a wall with some very swift rough water running and on top of that - I was by myself - So I really had a hard time getting a good picture and did not want to leave her out just to get a good picture ...

You have to know what they are before you can catch one. There is a big difference between a flat head and a mudcat.

Hey Dpiper, maybe Hunter3 Should Have Told You The Difference . There's Alot Of Nicknames For Flatheads.alot Of It Depends On Where You're From. I Figure If You Catch'em You Can Call It What You Want. I Perfer To The Beast As "dude Love". Look Forward To Seeing The Post Of You And Your First "big'un".glad To Have You On The Board.

Flatheads ARE refered to as mudcats in certain parts of the country.I had never heard of an "opp",until learning on here that they are called that in the Texas waters.
