Rod and reel catfish from today on Conroe

Here`s 50 eating size catfish caught today on Lake Conroe by two of my customers. Caught on Catfish Killer Cheese Dip Bait.:dance:

Well I reckon I goofed again!! Ain`t much on pictures or computers but sure catch a bunch of cats!!

50 CATS - Legal Limit for 2:

Hey Catfish Killer - I have trout lines out in the lake & run them every day and it was great & exciting to catch 50 cats every nite. But then I had to buy another freezer and I had second thoughts about cleaning 50 fish every nite. My freezer got full and I set a personal minimum of 20" for cats - Yes we have brought in 30" & 40" cats. I went out w/a guide on lake Conroe a while back and he took us to a spot that provided only minimum legal (12") cats and very quickly we had our limit and he had his pay - then I had to clean them - It was not pleasant. But the education was worth it. I HOPE YOU DO NOT HAVE SATISFACTION FOR PROVIDING YOUR CLIENTS WITH MINIMUM SIZE CATS.

Why would you not reveal the name of this (so called) guide you went out with on Lake Conroe and got ripped off by on your paid trip with all just barely keepable catfish?? You`d be doing everyone on this site a GREAT BIG favor by revealing the name of that guide.:confused:

Although, you can NEVER tell from one day to the next what size catfish you are going to be catching AND it depends on the BAIT you use. It changes from day to day. The State of Texas says that it is legal to keep a catfish on Lake Conroe 12 inches or longer. Sometimes you have to keep a few of those if the larger ones are just not biting real good that particular day.
A guide is not GOD. He can put people on catfish and give them the right stuff to catch them with but only GOD can control what is biting that day. Hope you know who I`m talking about when I say (GOD).:)
And it depends on the time of the year also. AND it depends on the MOON!!!!
I, as a guide on Lake Conroe for 25 years do not advertise guaranteed catch of anythig at ALL on my website. BUT, I tell EVERYBODY who books with me AFTER they are on one of my big ol 24 and 28 foot pontoon boats this:
If I do not send you home today with a NICE mess of EATING SIZE CATFISH, I WILL GIVE YOU ANOTHER TRIP FOR FREE!!! This is told to them AFTER I HAVE THEIR MONEY IN MY A_S POCKET!!!!! NOT BEFORE.
Nobody else that I know of, anywhere in the WORLD will do that. I do it because I take PRIDE in what I do for a living and DO NOT take people`s money for NOTHING, by my OWN choosing. That`s why why I have sooo much repeat business and sooooo many referals.

Now we need to seperate the oranges from the apples.
Running a trot line (not trout line) at night is TOTALLY different from rod and reel fishing during the day. I am not only a catfishing guide but a commercial fisherman as well. When I want to sell someone a bunch of catfish filtes filets, then I go out at night like you do and bait my Mudcat`s Flagging Juglines with shad and catch mostly bluecats up tp 50# on them. Even so, we still release any catfish that is 10# or above. And they have to be at least 14 inches long by law of the State of Texas.
Lots of difference in fishing at NIGHT with trotlines and juglines as opposed to catfishing with rod and reel during the day my friend!!
