I was going to go to Lake Livigston in the morning with a friend but he canceled on me. I just picked my boat up from the shop today and fueled her up to go. I hate fishing alone with the boat. I could use a good guide anyways I cant seem to catch em like I used several years ago. I was thinking either cats or even some trolling or working sand banks for whites. Would even be willing to leave tonight if some one was up to it. Let me know if interested.
P.S. Boat is a Kenner 18' so limited on space fishes 2 comortably 3 tops if not casting.

I grew up fishing Lake Livingstion and we used to catch whites all the time. You could find schools quite often. Those days are over for some reason. I'm sure you can catch a few below the dam, but it's been slow on the main lake for many years. My grandma seemed to think that it was illegal netting on the trinity river up north which hurt the white population. Who knows for sure. All I know is that I miss trolling for white bass and definitely eating them. Great fish to fry.
I'm sure you can catch a couple here and there, but just not like the days of old.
Good luck!!

We've been really successful trolling this year @ the old 190, Ghost Flats, & Dove Island. The trick is to use jet divers & a long leader. I have caught them schooling a few times as well, just watch for birds. Fish early.
Will probably be up there this wknd, 23' Fishmaster.
Fish on!
Good luck - Tommy

I have been fishing Livingston for 10 years and the size of whites have went down but the numbers are still there. We usually night fish but sometimes use jigging slabs in the mornings and evening and nearly limit out with big whites and a striper or two.
