Older or Newer

Would you buy an older item if it looked to be well taken care of, or pay the extra to find something newer? My case is I bought a clean Goldwing Aspencade with 47k but in really great condition, plus three jet skis 92,93,&94 also well maintained and all run well. I think that as things may need to be repaired it would be easier to deal with the simple systems than the FI plus all the electronics

Older...I bought a 2003 Suzuki Volusia (cruiser and carbed engine) last summer for cheap that was in excellent condition and about 4400 miles on the engine. Sat in a guys barn for a bit over a year...a little seafoam and she purrs like a kitty. Why spend the extra money for "new"! My buddies ride new Harley's and will be paying on them for a LONG time...and mine looks as good as theirs.

Wife bought a used 2 yr old Tahoe that was LOADED and she paid probably 1/2 of the "new" price.

It's our way of recycling! :D

I have bought several pieces of photography equipment, including camera bodies and lenses, one of which was a refurbished Canon 30D. Everything worked as advertised. No problems with any of the gear.
