I do Believe that thing only gets there if you have gone to a adult website and download something or join there site. Maybe you shouldn't have posted your problem
do you have any spyware protection/removal software?
Ad-Aware here
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
Spybot S&D here
http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=download
After you download and install, go ahead and check for any updates.
If you still have problems try these:
They have a trail version so check them out as they are very good.
Spy sweeper and Window Washer
http://www.webroot.com/wb/downloads/index.php
For more serious problem like Coolweb try this
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html
For on-line virus scan try these
Panda here
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/com/activescan_principal.htm
Trend Micro (Housecall) here
http://housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/start_frame.asp
RAV here
http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/
If you need virus protection try AVG.
http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php
As with all software, they should be checked for updates often especially anti-virus software.
A firewall is also recommended. Zone Alarm has a free edition and can be found here.

Bill - You should make a FAQ post and put a sticky on it, including the info above. Lock it to where new posts cannot be made, except when you unlock it to add a new FAQ.
I was thinking that but then I thought about the bandwidth. Something to talk to Mont about.

Well I guess if it was used then someone might have got on it before you got the computer but then again you could have got on a site but i wish you luck with getting rid of your problem.

I would think it would mean less bandwith than having the question asked 100 times! ;)

What Shaddy said or save that reply as a form letter. In my experience people usually don't bother reading faq's they just ask.
