Once again Monty, you're DA MAN! This was a fantastic idea for us non-techie types. Bill will make an excellent moderator. You might also try to enlist Topcat as a potential moderator from time to time. I have a feeling this board will get "deep" in a big way.

Bill... I downloaded Ulead GIF Animator 5 yesterday. The problem I'm having is saving all the images within the GIF animator setup. When I hit the preview tab or start the animation, everything works like it's suppose to. But when I do a SAVE AS, it only saves one single image within the multi images in the animated GIF setup. No animation occurs when I click on this newly created gif file. Any suggestions or helpful hints on how to save all the images that make the animation work would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

has the answer or solution to a problem please speak up. I can say I do not have all the answers to all the problems.
Ulead has a pretty good support site FAQ's and web support groups.

Make sure that the image is an Indexed Color image, not a True Color image.
If the image is not an Indexed Color image, click the Format: Data Type menu command to change its data type to Indexed Color, then click File: Save (or Save as) command. You should be able to save it as a GIF.

Ray - Do "File - Export - Animated GIF" instead of "File - Save As". That's the way to do it in Macromedia, and I'm willing to bet that your Ulead program is the same.

Bill... I'd already checked out that website and came up blank. I've also seen that same question asked on a Ulead support forum board. The only reply was to check out their website.

I haven't figured out how or were to find the format data type in order to change it from a True Color to an Indexed Color image. Guess I've got a lot more "edjikatin" myself on GIF files. I'm downloading the Ulead manual as I type.

Jeff... Saving it under File - Export - "Animated GIF" only gives me an HTML option, a desktop item option or an .exe option. They all work but I can't change them into .GIF files. Now I've got a da*#ed frog jumping around my desktop!!!

Ray - Get Macromedia FireWorks...it's awesome...the one I did my avatar with. Kind of like going from MS Paint to PhotoShop going from Ulead to Macromedia! ;)
