I was looking at the lightspeed LS 3X and the Velocity V 3X

What opinions do you pros have on these two?

Not much difference between the 2, just more porting/holes in the LS. Same drag system, etc. If you take the spool off to rinse/wash your stuff, just remember to completely air dry the inside where the spool shaft contacts the drag. If you don't, they have been known to completely seize up! You may want to check out the Ross Momentum LT or CLA. My 2 cents.

There are 2008 Lamson Velocitys and Radius' on ebay for clearance.

I just saw a Velocity 3 for $130 and a Lamson Radius for $95 on ebay. These prices are cheaper than the Lamson Konic.

I have a Velocity and love it. I dont know if I would pay retail price for one any more though as the lower end Konic offers the same drag for a lower price.

A very good reel for the current prices. I am a fan of Ross Reels and the Drag seemed smoother when set really high or low on the comparable Ross. This isn't that significant as at normal settings they are very close.

Good prices and good reels, but I too prefer Ross, specifically the Evolution 3.5 for light saltwater fishing.
