Thursday a local Banker wanted to take his 88 year old dad from Big Spring, TX for a fun day on the water. Said he had seen him sat in one place for three hours to catch one catfish. Since he was old school, he did not understand guide fishing, so the osn had to slip me some money and we acted like best friends. Mom tagged along but fished only a little. Their names were a little confusing there was RJ jr. and RJ sr...Needless to say RJ sr. said it was the best fishing trip he remembered (not saying much the way my memory is and him being 20 years older).
Anyway 75 fishing the cooler and 35 fish caught and released before the day was over.
Fish were 2 foot deep, under cork, but you might be surprised when I tell you the next thing. All fish caught on JC's Shad punch bait, yep, did you ever think I might find a bait as good as what I have been using, I didn't, but I did.
