Catfish on Conroe

My buddy Spanky Stepanski and I went out this evening. We caught 18 cats up on the bulkheads. Dead shrimp was the bait. We just got through eating a few fried up fresh, YUM!!

Any shad on the bulkhead? i heard they where biting at night really good out of scott ridge to the right on the first set of bulkhead.

Yeah Tarboy the shad were up against the bulkheads. I have never fished out of Scott's Ridge, but good luck to you!

I fished today and caught two. That cool front had things slow. The lake did smooth off today and was NICE.

Johnny alot of the time I will drift or use the trolling moter until I get into the real good. Look for those Blue Herons sitting on a bulkhead or shorline ussually the cats are not to far away from what I have found! Hope you do great on your next trip.

Cats pulled back from the BH's just a tick. Look in the 10-15' range using shad chunks about 1' off bottom. We pulled 75 out last night between 4 of us.
