Mr Willard Brockington from Lancaster and Mr. George Mitchell of Garland joined me for a half day bluecat trip. Fresh dead shad, on carolina rig, and in shallow water worked very well today. Fished from 7:30AM-11:50AM boated 50 blues. Sunday May 3rd is open if anyone wants in on some bluecat spanking.

Yep, on the map, it is right between April Cedar Creek and June Cedar Creek. It's easy to miss on the lake , cause there ain't but one stop sign, so don't blink.

Yep, they sure are. Looks like the ones he had the day before and the ones the day before that. And the ones the day before that, as I think of it. I could go on and on with the day befores and that table of cats would still look the same

In other words, his clients catch a whole lot of catfish, EVERYDAY!!!!! Did I mention that I am jealous????

David and Laura Cook of Dallas knocked out a fifty fish limit by noon today. Very shallow water and fresh dead shad worked very well.

Mr. Mike Cooley and Corey , of Lufkin, TX. spent a half day bluecat fishing. The final tally was 40 blues, 1 sandbass, and a very large Drum 10+ lb. We returned 7 fish that were legal but small. Shallow water bite using fresh dead shad Carolina rigged. A most enjoyable day that ended like all Cedar Creek trips should with a stop at Xtreme Bar-B-Que.

Early morning storms delayed the start time of the half day trip until 8 AM. Kenneth and Barbara Nieman of Lockhart dashed to Wally's for some rain gear. Windy and rainy we headed out to midlake spot HNC. The east wind had the hybrid bite going great guns and they boated six keepers to six pounds and two just short. A few catfish were mixed in with the hybrids. The catfish total was 24.

After a night of lodging at Hidden Cedars, Kenneth, Barbara and son Gary Nieman set out on a half day trip. The weather was much better today. We headed north and were on fish quickly. The rapid bite held up for about an hour and a half but slowly tailed off. Hit two more shallow water spots with no results, finally picked up a few by the big island. Motored over to Valentine's for a restroom break. Next stop was the dogpen doodle and found fish in some 6-10 ft. water. The cooler held 54 catfish when we headed in.
