Forecast was Tornado watch until noon, 60% rain, winds 13 to 21 mph...one boat pulled into parking lot at daylight, cranked motor in parking lot to be sure it started, then got back in the truck and went home. Until noon, we never saw a boat, by 11 am the water was like glass and the sun was out, and it was humid. That is why I do not fish with the weatherman.
Had Clay and his son Curt, from Katy on the water, and they did the job before noon. 50 nice catfish in the cooler and then catch and release for another 45 minutes.
All caught in 2 foot water, on SureShot punch bait, fishing with tight line.
Lake level is now less than a foot low. In stumpy areas be careful, stumps are back under the water now in most places.
