The Colorado River finally got up this week and could not stand it. Put out about 30 drop lines, all baited with Perch and Mud Cats. Ended up fishing two nights, and it was slow compared to most trips.
Caught one yellow on a mud cat in one of my spots, were I have lost some good fish in the past, he weighed 51 pounds. That fish kind of made the trip. Ended up catching one more yellow went about 8 pounds, some throw back yellows.
4 blues from 2 pounds to 12 pouds, and 7 channells that went from 2-3 pounds.
Had one 8 short shank eagle claw stainless hook straighten out, that was pulled back into the bank and was not hung up, will be putting another line in that spot with a little bigger hook, and bait. It seem every one that we talked to fishing around our area, had a slow weekend on the river around Wharton.
