State Record Black Bullhead

Took my wife fishing the other day out at my ranch. We started her out catching sunfish and moved onto cats. And I'll be damned if she didn't catch a record black bull head after a good size channel cat. It's really ashame that I didn't know the record before I fillet'd it for dinner, but at least I have pictures. So for now the state record will stay the same....for now. :biggrin:

There is a black and a yellow bullhead...the black is much darker on top. And yes I really am that tall 6'7

Lol...she eats alot of fresh fish, home grown beef, deer, elk, pig ect...we don't buy much meat from the grocery store. Oh ya and pizza she loves it.:)

Lol...I can pretty much forget about fishing when she's around, that day was her first time fishing ever. I think I spent more time undoing snags, tangles, taking off fish and rebaiting than i did anything else. Oh well it's good training for me to be prepared to teach my little one. And it's almost as exciting to see a person get excited about fishing. Now if i could just get her in that hunting blind...maybe I could talk her into that deer lease.

Is the closest scale to conroe, tx really in bryan, tx.....seems like they would have one closer to the houston area.
