Cedar Creek is the same as Fayette County Lake Right. I had looked it up on Map Quest and it showed Cedar Creek But I always thought it was Fayette Co. even the maps you buy say Fayette Co. I will be hitting what ever that lake is called next Sunday with the family, it will be my first time to ever fish there. I will be having 4 days of fishing next week starting with Choke on thursday and friday, Calaveras on Saturday and Fayette on sunday.
BTW, that is some nice fish

Trying to blue cat fish today with Big Al Mireault and his father Jim but these scaley fish kept taking the bait. Half day trip produced 30 hybrids and 24 nice blues. Tuesday and Friday of next week are open if anyone want in on some prime time mud shark spanking.

Mr. Bill Ward of Malakoff along with his long time friend Ronnie Rodrigues from Hot Springs put in a half day of fishing. The final count was somewhere around 30 hybrids, 34 blues, and 21 sand bass. All but seven of the hybrids were of legal keeper size, the largest went 7.8 lbs. Fished from 7-11 a.m. and just beat the bad weather off the lake. This trip ended like all good trips should with a trip to Cedar Creek's finest Xtreme Bar-B-Que.
Nice and dry, 7.8# hybrid

That's putting the hurt on em jackieblue, those hybrids are monster fish to catch. The best fighters in freshwater.

Second best behind freshwater reds.

Never caught one in freshwater, but reds do rule.

Robert, Keith, and Kent began this trip at 7 a.m. under very cloudy, windy conditions. A light mist was in the air. At 7:45 the weather forecast and conditions made us make a run for the bank. We sat on the back porch of Sandy Shores telling tall tales, drinking coffee and adult beverages until around noon. Headed back out to the north end, finding fish, a few here and there, but they were scattered by the 3 inches of rain. We moved several times, never catching over 3-4 fish per spot.

A beautiful day in Gun Barrel City. Slight breeze and a little cool for the seven mile boat ride. Things warmed up quickly when the anchor hit the water and blues hit the shad. Robert and Vernice Phillips of Phalba, TX. put in a half day of blue cat spanking. Fifty blues in four hours. As always the lady catches the biggest and probably the most fish. Robert didn't mind, being as he fished last Saturday and plans to again this Sunday.
I had a trip for Friday cancel so its if anyone wants in some prime springtime blue cat fishing call or email, half day morning or afternoon.

I had the pleasure of fishing with three friends from Lockhart, TX. Pat Muckelroy or Catfish Jon, Pat Montgomery, and Danny Buckner. The take for today was 62 blues, 2 lmb, 1 turtle, and 1 flathead. Most fish caught in very shallow water using fresh dead shad.

I had the Lockhart gang again today. The trip was delayed some because of a change in launch sites, moved way North to avoid the wind. The first stop produced a dozen, the next two not much but #4 was the ticket. We ended the day at noon with 75 blues and one hybrid. Gotta love spring time shallow water bluecat fishing.

James Slayton and Bill Franks of Kermit, TX put in a day of bluecat spanking today. We were ran off the lake by storms, rain, and wind. The moring jaunt produced 15 fish and the afternoon filled the limit with 35 more. We left the lake at 3:20. Bill took top honors with a Buffalo going 19.8#. Bill is normal size but James is a seven feet cop.

Mr. Tony Hennes of Belton, TX and his right hand man Andy Pruett put in a morning of blue cat fishing. Conditions looked like things would be wet at any minute but we motored on to stop six. Easy pickins as the 50 fish limit was reached by 10:20.
