Headed out this morning from the boat ramp, with plenty of shad. They were just getting there as I was getting there.

I slipped over to my favorite point and found Grandma and Grandpa, potlicking my,.............. I mean Dbullards fishing hole. Oh well, I should have gotten up a little earlier.

Went to another spot and found some shallow water on my depth finder. I brought 20 jugs to drift with and they had last years J hooks on them. I had a blast watching them jugs flag. What wasn't fun, was watching half my fish get off, from having last years hooks on there.

That's alright, I could'nt take it any more, so after an hour or so, I packed up and bought some new 2/0 Kahle hooks on the way home. Going to re-string some hooks on these 20 and an extra 10 jugs.

The cats I caught were all good size cats and they made a nice mess of fillets. Might have to bake some tonight for supper.

Here are a couple of pics.

I get up at 4 am everyday.....think I could be in the hole before everybody else? I can have my shad and be moving on the water by 4:30

hey DB,GG
have been reading yu guys post about jugging and MAYBE this weekend will try my hand at this (new concept for me). Question is do you put out at Livingston SP? have to look at map to find or can you launch at just about any ramp and expect to have shot at good fishing using jugs? do they have to be put in shallow water or?

Right now Bowhnter it's wide open, you can throw out floating jugs with 18" of line, or anchor them and catch plenty of fish. That's a fine catch GG, nice blues.
