I ran out to Calaveras yesterday evening to round out my Easter weekend. It was pretty windy when I first got out there, but the wind laid down as it got later. The fishing is still as hot as you can stand.
I did something yesterday that I never done before. I caught 25 fish in 25 casts! It did not reel in a hook that didn't have a fish swinging on it! I caught my first fish at 5:45 PM and boxed my 25th fish at 6:45 PM. It was awesome.
I spent the next 45 minutes just sitting on the front of the boat sipping a couple of ice cold brewskies, enjoying a beautiful evening, and thanking God for all he gives me.
