Took my son to Livingston Good Friday. Got on the water at 7am. Made a few throws with the cast net and loaded up the livewells with shad. There wasn't a ripple on the lake as we headed over to the bulkheads on the north side of Cape Royale.

First cast my son hooks up with a 7lb blue. He had five in the cooler box before I caught my first fish. In true form he started to talk trash, "Come on dad, when you gonna catch one" and "Guess I'm the better fisherman huh."

Bite slowed about 8:30. We pecked away at em the rest of the day. Ended with 32 cats, one white and one monster goo.

About half channels and half blues and all come off the bulfheads. No rocks around. The small one my son is holding is a juvenile flathead I think.

That is the tiniest shovel head catfish I've ever seen. Must have just been hatched.
