Could someone point me to a walkthru for sealing up a small nitro? Mine is running hot, is really hard to tune and stays hot even when I richen it up the point of running wet :)

Im not expert in nitro but one way I would cure a seal was I would go down to o'reilys and pick up some copper sealant. Alot of ppl use silicone but I couldnt tell you were to get that. Copper sealant should work best anyway. Just simply apply it around the edges and put the engine back togather normally. Dont use too much, just enough to make each edge sealed. You might also want to give it awhile to dry. Like I said Im no expert so it very well may be something completely different than an air leak but that is how you fix that. Im sure somebody like Tol could help you out more on this one.

Josh is right. Just get some RTV. Take the carb out and put a SMALL amount around the neck and reinstall the carb. Do the same for the backing plate too. You don't need a lot though, if you get crazy with it, it will get in the engine. Also make sure the head bolts are tight too.

Also look at putting some around the clamp that holds the carb on, this is often an over looked spot for airleaks as well.

Thanks guys! It sounds pretty easy - why don't the manufacturers advise doing this to every engine when you get em?
