Hopefully voters overwhelmingly vote to keep the season and give those dove huggers
a clear message to mind their own bidness!!

You say it won't happen here, but your wrong. It will happen here eventually. It is called the pussification of America. Look what has happened to hunting and fishing in the last fifty years. It has been destroyed compared to what it used to be. The only hope for the future of hunting and fishing is for everyone to stand up and swing the same bat. Hopefully when you swing the bat you hit a couple of bunny huggers.

Destroyed compared to what it used to be? Pussification of America?
I'd agree if there wasn't a line at Academy each and every Labor Day weekend to purchase a Super Combo.
I'd agree if I never had to wait in line to launch or trailer the boat.
I'd agree if I no longer had my drift cut off, or no longer had someone buzz me a 30 yards while I'm wading.
I'd agree if there wasn't a dock blind every 150 yards as far as the eye can see down prime shorelines.
I'd agree if I didn't have to wait for someone to finish cleaning their fish before I it was my turn at the table.
And I'd agree when there's a weekend when no fewer then several dozen pickups are travelling west on I-10 towing trailers chock full of Jeeps, ATVs, blinds, feeders, BBQ pits, etc.
Is the sky really falling?

Well said Sean- there is NO way hunting can be outlawed, especially in Texas. Without hunting there would be an extream over population of wildlife that has to be managed in order for it not to become a nuisance. Texas wont have to worrie about the outlawing of hunting- only the size of your daily bag limit. Its too big of a state with such a big population of wildlife that we would never be able to manage it without hunting. Period. End of Sentence.

Ahhh..the blissfuness of youth!! Give it time. Texas' day to will come with no regard for wildlife populations. It won't even be legal to shoo deer out of your flowerbeds because you might traumatize them. We may never see it in our lifetime. But, it will happen, if we don't step up and start exposing our youth to the outdoors.

So long as demand meets the ever-increasing costs for trespass rights (a fancy term for lease fees) in Texas and nationwide, hunting isn't going to circle the drain anytime during the next several generations. There's too much money to be made, and property owners are reaping the benefits of the demand. And with prices continuing to go up, demand is obviously increasing.
Hey TXP, how old are you anyway?
