lake houston below damm 20,21,22

fished below the DAaM 3 days straight! It has been crazy. everyday we caught over 50 white bass, 50 crappie and 15-20 cats. we caught most of the fish on live shad and gulp 2 inch. chartrues swimming mullet tandem rigged. just launch at the marina off garret road. go up the river torwards the dam until you see the crowd of boats. i counted 21 boats today and everyone caught fish. Everyone i talked to at the launch had a limit of crappie. If you dont belive me just stop by the marina between 5-6pm and watch the boats come in with loads of crappie. sorry to give up the honey hole. i just want everyone to catch fish.

so thats why i counted 30 some odd boats yesterday and couldnt even make it to the pilons!!!!!

we didnt catch nothing, but we were a little far away

Awesome fishing, that is a load of fish. And some great eating too.

Yup, when it goes a while without raining, the saltwater creeps up the river and pushes all the freshwater fish up close to the dam. Plus the fish get thick in there in the winter anyway without the dry spell.
