Weather forecast missed again...instead of 15 mph winds it turned out to be 20 and more with gusts. Trip had already been cancelled twice due to flu and 30 mph forecast winds on another day. So, we went anyway this time.
Don Krizinski and Doug Stegall of Katy, Tx braved the winds.
We tried drift fishing, but we wanted to drift 1/2-1 mph, but with two drift socks we were going closer to 2 mph. We ended up anchored out of the winds as best as we could. picked up 27 fish, largest about 5# blue.
Left the lake by noon for the hamburger joint.
Fish were in 8 foot water near stumps, caught on #4 treble, using SureShot Punch bait.
