Taking my family, wife and son, to Lake Livingston state park for a fishing/camping trip in a couple weeks and would like to get on some fish under some roost trees. Are there any on the north end of the lake? Any help as to where on the lake to start hopefully not too far of a run from the park would be great.

Right in the State Park cove to the left of the pier there are 2 good sized roost trees. I was there today and saw cormorants in them, but I was on foot and did n't give them a try. Other than that there are no trees on the South end of the lake that I know of.

Raysor, where is Lake oaks? I can tell you after I know where it is.
I'm new to bird fishing catfish myself, but it does not appear to have a time span, I think they will pretty much be under roost trees all year, but really know.
