I have been a landman for the past year with a company and work has been very slow the last couple of weeks. I live in San Antonio and im willing to work anywhere.

I'm not going to lie, it is going to be TOUGH to find anything in-state right now. Most field guys working the Barnett and Haynesville have been dropped over the past few months. Your best bet is to look for work in the Marcellus Shale play up in Pennsylvania/West Virginia or the Bakken in North Dakota/Montana, as long as you don't mind going out of state. If you haven't already, try http://www.landpro.com/LandNews.asp, www.landman.org (http://www.landman.org) and www.rigzone.com (http://www.rigzone.com). The first one generally has the freshest leads and the second is actually where I found my current job. Rigzone is slanted more to the operations side of things, but there are some land jobs that pop up there as well. Good luck!

Any work is good work, hate to say it but wth only one year experience, its going to be tough. Milosmaster is right, last i herd they are hurting for landman on the east cost, and paying pretty good too.
