Contractor Looking for Work in Coastal TX

I havent been to TX fishing for way too many years. I'm tired of not seeing TX in late winter. Common sense would Indicate that I stay home and work. But, .............what if I had some work to do in coastal TX?(My friends live in Sargent)

I live in Nebraska. I'm a contractor in the Summer, and a Fur buyer in the winter.
I could come down and fish with some friends till northern const. season starts if I had some work to do while I was down there.
