My dad took me to Braunig a while back and cst netted for Tilapia. He used to love to make cerviche out of it. Now I am getting tired of having to give my snapper, or mahi, or ling, or other good fish away when people want fish. I would like to go catch some Tilapia and fill up the freezer. Also here it is good eating. I know HEB is pretty proud of it.

Can you still catch them like that? If so, where on the lake would I go? I remember the plant but not sure, I was young. Is there a limit on them? I would also like to try to catch some stripers, reds, and kittys. Are they biting now? Any information would help. I would like to be there sometime before christmas.

Thanks
Jeff

Tilipaia are easier at Calaveras...the hot water discharge will hold plenty of big ones this time of year as well as kitties. Keeper sized reds will be hard to come by this time of year with the water temps...not impossible but hard to come by....hybrids will be best by the dam near the orange bouys with chickn livers or slabs
Braunig- kitties are doing well in 3-9 ft of water...no idea on hybrids or reds right now...imagine about the same as calaveras.
Tiliapia are harder to come by
Hope this helps
