Has anyone tried a Eastman Outdoors 38229 Reveo MariVac Food Tumbler? I see some good reviews and bad reviews online. Thought I would check here to see if you guys have any experience with the food tumbler. Thanks

What does a food tumble accomplish beside tumbling the food?

It claims that when you put the meat and your marinade inside the tumbler then you pull a vacuume after that you set it to tumble. The tumble action is to help tenderize the meat. When you release the vacuume it is suppose to suck the marinade deep into the meat. I put this post up hoping that someone had used this before but it looks like no one has. I guess I will just have to buy one and be the guinea pig... Anyone looking to donate to the cause????

I have no idea how good this unit is but that's the way they do it commercially so in theory it will work. Of course, the commercial units are huge stainless contraptions and probably pull a greater vacuum. Let us know how it works out.
