Ended up where we started and caught 50 good channels in about 4 hrs. Lotta tall tales being told and good times rollin'...always the pleasure gents.

Saturday- B day special* Rich, dad- Stan and 11 yr old Jonelle fished a frigid morning with me. Got set and started catchinga few fish where we left off on friday..Couple moments later...one of big poles hunkers down with the Team Catfish 8/0 double action hooks and no mistake..good fish. Jonelle picks it up and fight was on. I really don't know who had who at that point..Jonelle the fish or fish Jonelle. She fought it like a pro while Dad, Rich made sure she didn't go in...lol. After a good hard battle Jonelle got it in the boat. HIgh fives all around. Tried to weigh it at the park scales but they are sent in for repair. Made the decision to drive over the Braunig to get it certified knowing fish would not make it. One look at Jonelle's face and there was no way I was gonna tell her her fish had to go.Long story short had an absolute asweome time depsite some slow fishing but her fish made the day. Jonelle's pending new youth record blue for Calaveras weighed in at 13 lbs 12 oz after about a 2 hr debacle trying to find a scale. Job well done Jonelle and Rich for getting her involved in outdoors. Defintely a treat to be apart of it all.Thank you. Ended the day with 24 or 25 fish.

Sunday- Another B-day for Andrew, and cousins Matt&Joey as well as Uncle Johnny. Headed off to find fish and spent most of the day doing just that. Fished deep and shallow finally finding some takers in deep water for the most part. Ended morning with 18 fish, mostly blues on shad and Big Marvs.
Had a good time with the boys.

Great going Cliff, this time of year sometimes fishing is really fishing, other times of the year it is more catching, you just never know which day is going to be fishing and which day catching till you get out there and enjoy it all.
