The cold front is coming in..........

Looks like we have just come to the conclusion that we need to hit the water tonight. Too much bad weather and winds headed this way. We better make hay while we can.

We pulled up to the bridge at White Rock Creek at our normal spot. We built a fire getting ready to do our thing and put our jugs out. I baited a hundred hooks and noticed the wind getting stronger and stronger. It never did lay down.

We kicked the fire out and came home. Too much wind up that way. I couldn't believe it. We get to my house and it doesn't seem to be blowing at all here. Oh well, my buddy will be in the deer stand in the morning.Maybe we'll have some deer meat to make some sausage tomorrow.

It's a bummer. I thought for sure we could get in them tonight. Maybe next time. Now it is time for some Temper-pedic memory foam mattress. Gonna go se if I can't get inbedded in some foam..

We'll try again as soon as possible. We need some activity in the Catfish Lounge. It's too quiet in here.

No, Dbullard called as we were pulling up, but he couldn't make it. I still can't believe how that wind was blowing. It usually lays down in the evening.

I still have those 100 hooks baited around the rim of my bucket. I just put the whole bucket in my freezer. Next time I go, i'll already be baited up.

My buddy shot a big ol doe this morning and we just took some jerky out of the smokehouse.

We went and got a hank of hog casings and are going to make a pile of sausage at the beginning of the week.

HEB has pork butts on sale for 1.00 a pound. We'll mix a 60/40 pork/deer ratio and turn out some quality sausage.

We can't fish, so we might as well make sausage.

GG it will be cold in the morning but I got plenty of clothes!! I will let you know if the birds produce.
