Fig or orange for smoking?

Has anyone tried smoking with wood from an orange tree or fig tree? Thanks to Ike Ive got some of both. I don't know if either would be good for smoking but I thought I'd give them a try. The fig has a thick sap (for lack of a better word), and the orange was grafted to some other type tree. Not sure if either of those would make any difference. Anyway, if you've tried it I'd like to know how it worked out before I possibly ruin a good piece of meat (or fish).

i'm just guessing , but skip the fig.......too soft of wood

as for the orange let it season and try it on some pork chops or burgers, something quick.

if it works, try it on some split chickens, the citrus flavor is gonna be interesting.

let us know, i'm curious....
