Conroe Under Water Trail????

While bass fishin a creek arm on conroe a while back i noticed a trail meandering along the sandy bottom, it started deep and came up and paralled the shore line in about 3-4 ft. of water. The trail was about 16-18 inches wide,and ran for several hundred feet. A buddy of mine said, "it was a trail from a big yellow cat"( big cat fish ). Is there any truth behind this???? Please reply if u have any opinion u would like to express, thanx much yall.

i've seen somthing similar before after a bass boat came up and cruised a shore line with his motor running up north of stow a way. after the mud settled down you could see his trail. it looked like a ditch. as for the big cat, i have seen some big uns (as well as what im guessing to be 50+lbs carp) up on conroe so if it got up shallow and dragged her belly i guess it's possible.

it wasnt a very deep trail mayb 2-3 inches in the middle then jus faded away on both sides hmm guess its jus one of those..."things"

I would suspect somthing like a beaver, nutria, or musk rat. They have runs and will leave trails if that is what you want to call them.
