Hot on Fayette 7-9-08

Fished today on a return trip, with newly retired Joe Lindsey of Waco and his grandson Ty. Water 90 degrees, fishing even hotter. They kept me busy baiting hooks and netting fish. 50 fish, a lot of them 18-22 inches by
10:15 am. They caught a couple of doubles also, you can tell by the smiles they had a good day.

whats the best bait for catfish on lakes. havent fished fresh water in years and never did much catfishing, mostly bass. i have a 16'john boat and have thought about pulling it up to Fayette to do some fishing. thanks. MIKE

SureShot punch bait is the best bait for me, others are good for other people, but the way I fish, where I fish, I choose SureShot

I was beging to wonder about Fayette....with no reports in a long time. My fishing has been curtailed by dealing with my mom and altheimers...but making a trip to L Palestine next week. Fayette is right behind that trip....and Port O Conner after that one...like pale rider...my fish supplies are down to two bags...dangerously low for a fish eating family! LOL

Thanks for a great report!! I dont need 50 3# fish, but 10 or 15 would make me feel better! LOL
