Where to catch cats on conroe

I'm wanting to go out to catch or at least try to catch some cats for a fish fry on the 4th but I'v never been on lake conroe and really don't know where to start any help would really be appreciated.What ramp would be the best to use and what bait and what location, lol sorry but really don't know.

Are you pole fishing or jug or line fishing ?

Launch at Aril Plaza Marina on 105 and get some Glo worms..........Start early along the rocks at the dam, fish about 3 feet deep under a cork........Then, as the sun rises, look for drop offs in 20-22 feet of water....Take some range cubes and bait each area you are fishing.......You should also pick up some big bream using this method.....Good luck...........Capt.
